Computer lessons for beginners, at home or online, in Adelaide
Friendly, patient one-on-one lessons for adults and seniors, and for people on the NDIS, people receiving Support at Home (Aged Care) and people returning to work.
NDIS
We help people on the NDIS with everything from setting up a laptop or phone to using apps they enjoy. Lessons are one-on-one and go at your pace.
Support at Home (Aged Care)
Stay in touch with family, do your banking safely and get comfortable with your tablet or smartphone, with a patient teacher beside you.
Return to Work
Practical skills in Word, Excel, Outlook and more for people returning to work or moving into new work, including WorkCover SA clients.
Three ways to learn
At your home
We come to you for one-on-one lessons throughout Adelaide's north-eastern suburbs and surrounding areas.
Online, from your home to mine
Prefer not to have a visit, or live outside our area? Lessons can be done remotely over an internet connection, from your home to mine.
At my home office
Prefer to come to me? Lessons are also available at my home office in Walkley Heights, with the same one-on-one attention and no rush.
What people come to learn
Stay in touch
Video calls with Zoom or FaceTime, email, Facebook, and sharing photos with family and friends. These are the lessons we teach most often.
Skills for work
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, taught to the depth you need, whether that's the basics or a bit further.
Do more on your own
Internet banking, your phone and tablet, staying safe online, and getting the most from your own devices, without relying on busy family and friends.
Why people choose us
One-on-one, at your pace
Lessons start at the level you're at and finish where you want to reach. If you need something repeated, that's fine.
You choose what to learn
Learn exactly what you want to know, no more and no less, and fit lessons around the time you have.
Your own equipment
You learn on your own computer, phone or tablet, so it feels familiar when you practise on your own.
No course fees
We charge a reasonable hourly rate. Anti-virus and anti-spam installation is included free in that rate.
No contracts
There are no minimum tuition periods. You're in complete control of how little or how much you learn.
Experienced and patient
We've been teaching computer basics to beginners since 2006, and we make sure you feel relaxed and at ease.
Three ways to learn computer basics
Here's how the options compare, so you can choose what suits you.
Friends and family
They probably won't charge you a cent, but everyone is busy, and knowing how to do something isn't the same as knowing how to teach it. Not everyone has the patience for the basics.
Formal courses such as TAFE
A good choice if you want a formal certificate or qualification. Classes follow a set course and pace, so they can be slower or faster than you'd like.
Computer Lessons At Home
Tailored to you, at your pace, covering only what you want to learn. You won't be holding anyone back or waiting for others to catch up.
